Main features

The DRIED system is a device for compacting the solid part that originates from screens used for the treatment of civil and industrial waste.
The system is composed of a feed screw, a loading hopper, a control group and by a gear motor.

The material to be compacted which comes from a screen located at the top end of the DRIED, is unloaded into the hopper where a bar screen blocks the solid material and allows the excess liquid to pass through. When the feed screw rotates it scrapes the circular bar screen conveying the material held to the end part of the screen where a cap, kept closed by an adjustable pressure piston, contrasts the outflow of the filtered material which is therefore once again compacted and squeezed.

By adjusting the pressure of the cap on the screen it is possible to control the degree of compaction of the solid waste. The liquid part is collected into a tray placed under the circular bar screen and then conveyed by a piping system.

The solid and liquid parts are therefore separately stored. In the central part of the screen a stoker wheel cleans the feed screw continuously while it is rotating. The entire structure is made of stainless steel AISI 304. The efficiency of the system ensures a reduction in weight of approx. 40% of the waste to be disposed of.
