Selfcleaning screw filters for drainage channels
The SCREW filter is based on the functioning principles of the Hairpress filters (compacting systems for hair recovery). It consist of a filtering pipe with semicircular section, structured in very thick stainless steel perforated plate, and of cleaning system, that is a strong screw scraping the inner surface of the pipe. The retained material is removed by means of the rotating action of this screw, that is equipped with special brushes on the externalside, to obtain a deeper cleaning of the filtering holes. The collected material is raised by the screwand then discharged out of the gutter, at a sufficient height to be collected in a container. The filter is supplied with a strong frame for installation inside the gutter, to which is connected by means of a pin. The part of the machine inside the gutter, then the filtering panel, can be raised for easier cleaning operations, by a simple rotation of the machine around its fixing pin. Therefore, the panel can be cleaned without letting oneself down the gutter.
